I was involved in quite a severe automobile accident in 2001. Many visits to medical doctors, neurosurgeons, hours of physical therapy that did not alleviate my pain and suffering followed until in 2007, an associate at work recommended Martin Chiropractic Clinic. Since the first series of treatment has been completed, I am able to stand more up right, to walk longer periods of time and to do normal household duties that had been quite painful. I don’t expect to revert back to being a forty year old, but I do expect life to be more pain free and enjoyable!

As far back as I remember I had back pain. As a child, I injured it on more than one occasion (falling, playing basket-ball, etc.). It was no surprise then that in my 30’s I began to have sciatica in my legs. I had no idea what to do, but a friend referred me to Martin Chiropractic clinic. With some TLC, I was back in shape and pain free. So long as I had the occasional “tune up” at the clinic, I seemed to do well. Eventually though, I began to skip my treatments and check-ups. When my back started hurting again, I didn’t take it very seriously, but went to see Dr. Martin. He prescribed a new treatment plan, but I was too busy to take much interest and didn’t follow his advice. Over the next several years, age and activity finally took their toll. When I ended up flat on my back in excrutiating pain on my overseas vacation, I knew I couldn’t ignore things any longer. Friends recommended several surgeons, but I had no desire to let someone cut on me, not to mention lying in a bed trying to recover from the surgery. Fortunately for me, Dr. Martin and Dr. Presas were very patient with me and again prescribed a treatment plan. This time I listened. After just one visit, I was up walking and sitting (carefully!) I stuck with the plan this time and am happy to say that it has been over 3 years since that painful trip. The combination of therapy, adjustments, and mild exercise did the trick. I’m now in my late 50’s and doing better than I have in years. I’m strong, active, and healthy - thanks to the entire staff at Martin Chiropractic Clinic!
